Juan Pablo Somiedo is a methodological analyst in intelligence and an instructor in intelligence analysis techniques. He has a degree in statistics and is a high school math and economics teacher. Previously, he studied Philosophy and Theology at the Metropolitan Catholic Seminary of Oviedo and was a military chaplain in the Spanish armed forces, holding positions in the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense and the Higher Center for National Defense Studies (CESEDEN) where he specialized in intelligence analysis methodology. He has been a professor of intelligence analysis methodology at the Institute of Forensic Sciences and Security of the Autonomous University of Madrid. He is the author of numerous research articles on intelligence analysis methodology and has published a handbook on unstructured intelligence analysis techniques. He is also an instructor in analysis techniques on the educational platform Udemy. He is married and has a daughter
