Learn and practice what good managers know and do!

This course will interest you if you work in a setting where getting your work done requires you to get the co-operation of others; or, perhaps you have been chosen and have agreed to take on a manager’s role and responsibilities in your organization. Good managers need to put time and practice into learning the core skills in order to ensure they are going to have the emotional stamina, resilience, organization and system awareness, critical thinking, and influence to deal with the many interpersonal challenges that are bound to face them. You too can develop these same skills.
In this course you will learn 1) the core competencies of good managers, 2) how to communicate with others in a difficult conversation, 3) the value of emotions in the workplace and how to manage them, and 4) how to manage gossip. Whether or not you are in a management role there are times where you may want to put on your ‘inner’ manager hat to help you through various situations at work.

Provincial regulators of CPAs in Canada do not require that independent providers of CPD be approved to offer courses. Instead, individual CPAs are responsible for assessing whether a CPD activity meets their requirements, and may take activities from any source provided those requirements are met.
Every course offered on LearnFormula is delivered by a qualified subject matter expert or learning organization, and advances learning objectives that are relevant to the responsibilities or professional competencies of Canadian CPAs. All activities on LearnFormula are quantifiable in terms of hours, and are also verifiable, in that users receive documented evidence of their attendance via a certificate of completion after finishing a course (and this certificate is stored by LearnFormula indefinitely). Nearly 100,000 Canadian CPAs successfully satisfy their CPD requirements via LearnFormula on an annual basis.
