Empower yourself to confidently guide affluent clients through complex financial landscapes, shifting from mere wealth management to becoming their indispensable, trusted advisor.

We are about to be part of the most significant intergenerational transfer of wealth in Australian history – $3.5 Trillion over the next twenty years (according to the Australian Productivity Commission). Most are not prepared for this.
Wealth Management is evolving rapidly, with the threat of commoditisation. There is a movement to work with more complex clients in the high-net-wealth space and engage with significant individuals and significant families.
In this session Scott and Julie will explore the opportunity to work with these more complex families and the role of advice in helping them get financially well organised.
By participating in the session and the case studies, advisers will gain an insight into how to scope this work, how to engage these clients and ultimately how to run the engagements on an ongoing basis.
Participants will see the opportunity from an intergenerational wealth transfer perspective and the types of advice these clients are looking for from their advisers and are currently not receiving.
A great opportunity exists for advisers to step into this role of being on the family board or being the family adviser.
The session will explore concepts such as the engagement, pricing of services, presentation of services, and how to demonstrate the skills that these individuals and families are looking for from their advisers, all with consideration of the Code of Ethics.
It’s an inspirational and thought-provoking look at the future of advice for complex clients.

Founder and CEO of Significant Advice Network (SAN)
Building closer and deeper relationships with valued clients is the philosophy I live by.  I'm a coach, teacher, and mentor in the Family Advisory Board space.  A high-school teacher by trade, I moved into the advisory space in 1987 when I founded Fitzpatrick's Private Wealth, a national advisory and wealth management firm. In those days, it was rare to find businesses using a client-centric advice model. I felt it was important to base our firm around truly understanding clients' needs and charging on a transparent fee-for-advice policy.  Today, I’m sitting back as a mentor for Fitzpatrick's, looking on towards my next projects, The Great Advisory Frameworks (GAF) and Significant Advice Network (SAN).  The GAF is my online course giving advisors the business frameworks they need to build a great advisory business. Getting clarity around your value, capability and purpose is crucial to success. But more than that, The GAF helps participants to appreciate what makes a great life for them, and to love the work they do.  The Significant Advice Network is a coaching and mentoring program designed for experienced accounting, legal and financial advisers who are looking for career extension and would like, in their next chapter of work, to sit on the family board. The Program provides advisers with the tools, skills and capabilities to broaden the conversation with Individuals and Families and to create a plan to deliver the clients' vision with the highest degree of probability and the lowest amount of risk. Future clients want their SAN Adviser to know how to think about all their problems, construct a lifetime plan and drive them, the family, and the business from ‘Chaos to Greatness’.

Provincial regulators of CPAs in Canada do not require that independent providers of CPD be approved to offer courses. Instead, individual CPAs are responsible for assessing whether a CPD activity meets their requirements, and may take activities from any source provided those requirements are met.
Every course offered on LearnFormula is delivered by a qualified subject matter expert or learning organization, and advances learning objectives that are relevant to the responsibilities or professional competencies of Canadian CPAs. All activities on LearnFormula are quantifiable in terms of hours, and are also verifiable, in that users receive documented evidence of their attendance via a certificate of completion after finishing a course (and this certificate is stored by LearnFormula indefinitely). Nearly 100,000 Canadian CPAs successfully satisfy their CPD requirements via LearnFormula on an annual basis.
