This course will provide you with practical tools and guidance in relation to developing and implementing a competency framework for your organization. It will also provide you with advice on how you can “sell” the idea of a competency framework to key stakeholders, and will encourage critical reflection and brainstorming in relation to application of the course material to your specific organization. More specifically, through practical examples and action learning principals, this course will provide you with the ability to: 1. Summarize what an organizational competency framework is and why it’s important for your organization. 2. Recognize how a competency framework can positively impact recruitment and selection, training and development, succession planning, leadership development and performance management practices. 3. Be equipped with the basic tools to develop a competency framework for your organization.
