About This Course

This course covers a variety of Gmail tips and tricks for all learners, from beginners to pros. Whether you’re just starting with one of the world’s most popular email applications or looking for ideas to manage your out-of-control inbox, we’re here to help. The course will begin with modules dedicated to Gmail settings that make a big difference in your day-to-day use and then go on to discuss some terrific new features. We’ll cover how to undo send and review the hover actions, nudges, and smart features. We’ll look at the magic of archiving to organize your older messages effectively rather than deleting them. We will explore the use of stars and indicators to classify your messages sensibly, along with inbox types and signatures. Yes, plural—Gmail now supports multiple signatures and inboxes. The next modules focus on getting organized to increase your productivity. We’ll uncover the powerful combination of labels and filters and the use of templates, allowing you to automatically insert blocks of frequently used text. We’ll touch on the built-in search feature, the side panel, and how the Chat and Spaces features can be effective alternatives to email. All of this will help you streamline your Gmail, making it a productivity partner rather than a source of clutter and stress.

Credit Information

Is this course eligible for my CPD requirements as a Canadian CPA?

Provincial regulators of CPAs in Canada do not require that independent providers of CPD be approved to offer courses. Instead, individual CPAs are responsible for assessing whether a CPD activity meets their requirements, and may take activities from any source provided those requirements are met.

Every course offered on LearnFormula is delivered by a qualified subject matter expert or learning organization, and advances learning objectives that are relevant to the responsibilities or professional competencies of Canadian CPAs. All activities on LearnFormula are quantifiable in terms of hours, and are also verifiable, in that users receive documented evidence of their attendance via a certificate of completion after finishing a course (and this certificate is stored by LearnFormula indefinitely). Nearly 100,000 Canadian CPAs successfully satisfy their CPD requirements via LearnFormula on an annual basis.
