Christine Kellowan is a construction lawyer. Christine represents various actors in the construction industry, including owners, general contractors, developers and subtrades. Christine has appeared all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, and the Builders Arbitration Forum. Christine has taught the construction law course at George Brown College for several semesters. Christine graduated from York University summa cum laude in 2008 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies she was the student representative on York University’s Board of Governors and a member of the Academic Resources Committee. She received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011. Christine was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. She completed the Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law in 2014 and Osgoode’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop in 2015.
Provincial regulators of CPAs in Canada do not require that independent providers of CPD be approved to offer courses. Instead, individual CPAs are responsible for assessing whether a CPD activity meets their requirements, and may take activities from any source provided those requirements are met.
