Regardless of where you work or what industry you work in, there is a potential for violence, regardless of the job. This course helps all staff, including frontline workers, supervisors, managers, and owners, or anyone else with an interest in workplace safety, develop a clear understanding of what workplace violence is. They will learn the consequences of workplace violence, recognize potential warning signs and disruptive behaviors, and learn preventive measures that can be taken. Students will also gain a clear understanding of what policies and procedures should be in place, especially as it pertains to Ontario legislation, and they will be able to clearly indicate the benefits of implementing a risk assessment tool in the workplace.
