In 2003 fresh out of Business School my wife and I purchased our first business. I should have known everything there was to know about accounting. After all, I even had an accounting degree. We hired the best CPA firm for our industry and still it was a complete failure. We never even had the basic tools to know how our business was doing financially. I could use QuickBooks, but only to write checks. After we sold out and lost our tails, I came to the realization that there is a huge separation from tax accounting to accounting for what is going on in our business operations. So in August of 2009, I started a different type of accounting firm. One that focuses on helping business build their accounting systems. I was determined not to make the same mistakes that took our first business down and to help others so they would not experience that either. Since then, I have been blessed to have worked with over 2500 business teaching them how to make this software work for them. Yes, I am certified with Intuit, in fact my firm is an off the charts Elite level provider. Provincial regulators of CPAs in Canada do not require that independent providers of CPD be approved to offer courses. Instead, individual CPAs are responsible for assessing whether a CPD activity meets their requirements, and may take activities from any source provided those requirements are met.

In depth course, however videos for 3.3 and 3.4 are the exact same, so I think it's missing the actual 3.3 video.
Great content, for a Desktop User to understand the full capability of QBO. Would have given 5 stars except for two reasons: 1. Video for module 3.3 is missing / 3.4 was duplicated 2 Would prefer that ALL instruction remained in QBO. Switching back to desktop for conceptual instruction (ie bank recs) does not add value. In fact, it leads me to wonder about functionality about that particular process, (what is deficient in the QBO process that the instructor is glossing over/not showing us?) This detour actually de-values that module entirely.
This course allowed me to understand what QuickBooks has to offer. I now have a better idea of how I can apply it to my own business.
The course instructor was very good, easy to follow, good tone to his voice, and kept it interesting. The materials for the most part were also good and followed along with the course videos. I had a couple of technology issues where one section was missing (3.3) and had the same video repeated in two different sections (3.3 and 3.4). Also didn't recognize that I had watched the video in 4.1 and didn't show as completed; there was no complete button at the end. But I contacted chat and it was resolved very quickly. Very good service! My time is valuable and many demands, taking out this amount of time to do training is always difficult to fit in. This was worth the time.
