Understanding How to Spot Inflection Points and Risks At Your Organization.
The whole point of strategic planning is to try to predict the future. It’s about developing plans to anticipate and meet the needs of customers in the future. And part of the process is to anticipate and take advantage of opportunities as well as anticipate and avoid risks.
The risk part is particularly important to internal auditors since at least part of our charters as auditors is to assess and mitigate risks. (Should be a bigger part, if you ask me!)
Rita McGrath, best-selling author and longtime professor at Columbia Business School, has recently written a book titled, Seeing Around Corners. McGrath is known as an expert on innovation and growth and, in the book, discusses “inflection points” and how to see them before they happen in order to have an advantage in planning for the future and avoiding and dealing with all types of risks to the business. McGrath contends that future changes don’t happen overnight and can be anticipated. Join this webinar to see HOW!
