Big tech has brought with it an obsession to make money as efficiently as possible without regard to the ethical impact on individuals and society as a whole. The authors of the 2021 book, System Error, believe the problem with big tech is that innovations are solely designed by technologists, funded by freewheeling venture capitalists, with little regulatory oversight – a formula for the long list of negative impacts of unbridled high-tech. And the big tech ethical dilemma is getting worse day by day. So, what are some solutions?

Provincial regulators of CPAs in Canada do not require that independent providers of CPD be approved to offer courses. Instead, individual CPAs are responsible for assessing whether a CPD activity meets their requirements, and may take activities from any source provided those requirements are met.
